Painting Workshop with Adam
Join us on the lawn for a painting workshop on Sunday, August 11 from 2–4 PM.
Guests will create their own “Birch Tree” painting with artistic guidance from local artist Adam Reinhard. A teacher at Western Albemarle High School, Adam is a Virginia native with over 20 years of experience in painting colorful landscapes.
Event participation is $55 per person and must be reserved in advance. Painting will begin at 2 PM, so arrive early to order any drinks or snacks you’ll want to enjoy during the session.

Space is limited! Advance registration is required, with payment due at the time of registration. To reserve your spot, call Chiswell at 434.252.2947 during business hours.
All participants must be 21 or older.
Check-in
- All materials will be provided.
- Wine and snacks will be available for purchase.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event start time.
- All sessions start promptly on time and will last 1.5–2 hours.
- If you cannot attend, please give your registration to someone else. Refunds are not available.
About the Artist
Adam Reinhard grew up in Salem, VA where he began his art studies in the International Baccalaureate Diploma program at Salem High School. He attended the University of Virginia as a Jefferson Scholar, where in 2007, he earned a BA in Studio Art and Music. After a fifth year of painting at the University of Virginia as an Aunspaugh Fellow, Adam was accepted as a Presidential Scholar at the Savannah College of Art and Design where he earned a MFA in painting in 2010.
Returning to the Roanoke Valley after graduate school, Adam earned his Virginia teaching license while enrolled in the MAT program at Hollins University. He moved to Washington, DC to teach art in high school and middle school. In August of 2017, Adam moved to Charlottesville, VA, where he taught at Woodbrook Elementary School for five years before moving to Western Albemarle High School. In his spare time, he paints the beautiful landscape in Crozet and the surrounding area.
