Happy Birthday America [2021]
Celebrate America’s 245th Birthday with us!
July 4, 2021 | 6–10 PM
Get the best seat in town for this year’s local Independence Day fireworks shows, including the Celebrate US spectacular! In addition to food from Vision BBQ, Heard, and 106 Street Food, we’ll have ice cream, apple cider donuts, and other sweet snacks. Adult beverages, such as patriotic wine slushies, are available in the Carter Mountain Wine Shop and Bold Rock Tap Room. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes for live music from Root Cellar Remedy!

Also, Blue Ridge Kettle Korn, Fairy Floss, and Facepainting!

A portion of the event proceeds will go to the Celebrate Us Fireworks Fund, which will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville! If you are so inclined to donate to the fund yourself, visit their GoFundMe page.
Please note:
- Carter Mountain is not setting off fireworks—we’re providing a view of local fireworks. We have no control over the quality and length of the fireworks shows in the area.
- Please review our policies prior to reserving your tickets: Visitor Guidelines
- Masks are recommended for non-vaccinated guests.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted. No smoking on property. We don’t permit tailgating in our parking lots.
- No dogs or other pets permitted.
- All activities are subject to change due to weather. Rain date is Monday, July 5.
- No refunds unless the event is canceled by Carter Mountain Orchard.
Schedule
- 5:30 - 6:30 PM
- Arrive for event
- Only ticket holders will be permitted in the gates.
- 7 PM -
- Gates close
- No admittance after 7 PM.
- 6 - 8:45 PM
- Live music
- Rock out to live acoustic music by Root Cellar Remedy.
- 9 PM -
- Local fireworks scheduled to begin
- Please note: Carter Mountain Orchard has no control over and is not responsible for the quality or length of time of any local fireworks shows. We are only providing a location to view the fireworks.
- 10 PM -
- Event concludes
- Once the fireworks have concluded, our event is over and everyone will head down the mountain.
