Easter Eggstravaganza
Spring has sprung, let’s gather for some family fun!
The 2026 Easter Eggstravaganza will take place on two weekends: Saturday, March 28, and Saturday, April 4. Visits from the Easter Bunny and fun activities for the whole family will be going on throughout the day!
Easter Egg Hunt & Crafts
10 AM–4 PM
An Easter Eggsplorer Pass is required for participating children.
Mountainside Hayride
10 AM–4 PM
Hayride tickets may be purchased onsite. One hayride is included with each Easter Eggsplorer Pass.

UVA Child Development Labs
On 3/28, researchers from UVA will be here with quick, fun activities for kids! Interested families can participate on-site and sign up if interested in future scientific studies.
Easter Eggsplorer Pass
An Eggsplorer Pass includes, for one child:
- Egg hunt participation
- A pre-filled goody bag
- Craft stations access
- One hayride
$12/child | Saturday, 3/28 or 4/4
This event is intended for children ages 2-10.
That silly Easter Bunny dropped all his eggs when he came to visit Carter Mountain Orchard! Can kids help him find the lost Easter eggs?
Children will each receive a colored wristband indicating which egg color they’re “hunting” for. Win a pre-filled Easter goody bag once you’ve found a dozen eggs of your color!
The Carter Mountain Orchard Easter egg hunt will be ongoing throughout the day from 10 AM–3 PM. Arrive early enough to give your family plenty of time to enjoy the event!
Each participating child needs Aan Eggsplorer Pass.
Adults and non-participating children do not need an Eggsplorer Pass to enjoy the rest of the event.
Yes, hayride tickets ($4 each) will be available for purchase onsite.
If you have already purchased an Easter Eggsplorer Pass(es) and would like to make changes to your ticket, you may do so until 11:59 PM the day before the event. Tickets are non-refundable.
