Brought to you by Chiles Peach Orchard and Crozet Running, this community event is a fundraiser for the Western Albemarle Rescue Squad. The race begins at 8AM (check in the day before, or beginning at 7AM the morning of the race). The race course is a scenic out-and-back down Jarman Gap Road. At the end of the race, join us for our Pancake Breakfast (included in your race registration). In our first 3 years, we have raised over $5000.00 for WARS. This race has become a traditional community event, and we are excited to bring it to you again!

Registration fee includes a race t-shirt (if you register prior to 8/20) and our all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast. Runner gift bags also will be handed out, courtesy of our local sponsors.

Not a runner, but want to show support? We need volunteers for the day of the race! You can help at registration, be at the intersections of the course itself, help with timing, and encouraging the runners. Packet Pickup will be Friday, Sept 8 at Crozet Running, from 10AM-6PM. You can also pick up your packet at Chiles Peach Orchard on Saturday morning from 7AM-7:45AM.
7AM-7:45AM: Race day registration at Chiles Peach Orchard.
8AM: Race starts!
TBD: Awards Ceremony will take place immediately following the race.
9AM-11AM: Pancake Breakfast at Chiles. You can eat ’em up anytime after you finish, til 11AM!

About Western Albemarle Rescue Squad
Western Albemarle Rescue Squad is an approximately 80 member all volunteer Advanced Life Support organization providing rescue and EMS service to the western portions of Albemarle County, Virginia. WARS is grouped in the Thomas Jefferson EMS Council, which comprises the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson and the city of Charlottesville. The squad was formed in 1978 and has grown to an organization which staffs an in-house crew 24 hours a day and provides Basic and Advanced Life Support services. They run over 1400 calls per year, including mutual aid with several neighboring agencies.
