SUMMARY:Tulip Field Days
DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us for picking, photo ops, and fun during our very first pop-up tulip farm!\n\n\n\nIn November, we planted 175,000 bulbs on over two acres of farmland. The tulips will bloom between late March and early to mid-April for approximately three weeks.\n\n\n\nTulip season has now wrapped up. Thank you to all our guests for an amazing first Tulip Field Days!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Tulip Farm Experience\n\n\n\nStroll through row after row of picturesque tulips, pick a bouquet to take home, enjoy the fresh spring air, and indulge in sweet treats and drinks while you’re here!\n\n\n\n\n\nIn the tulip field, we will be serving wine slushies, fresh-squeezed lemonade (including a spring-themed specialty!), spring frosted sugar cookies, apple cider donuts, homemade fudge, and water.\n\n\n\nAdditional snacks, drinks, and lunch options are available at the Chiles Peach Orchard Clubhouse. While in season, pre-picked tulip stems and tulip bouquets will also be available in the Farm Market ( https://chilesfamilyorchards.com/chiles-peach-orchard/farm-market-and-bakery/ ) for purchase daily.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ve been hard at work and are so excited to share these beautiful flowers with you. We hope to see you soon!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTulip Field Report\n\n\n\nThough the season’s end is approaching, there’s still plenty of blooms! Follow Chiles Peach Orchard on Facebookand Instagram for reports from the field throughout the bloom.\n\n\n\n Early Season Tulips Mid Season Tulips Late Season Tulips\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommon Questions \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n How long will the tulips last? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nAbout three weeks. Mother Nature decides the right time for the flowers to pop up and show their vibrant colors. Each flower will bloom at a different time, meaning the field will have fresh new blooms each day. Rest assured: if we are open, there are tens of thousands of tulips to see!\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n How do we access the tulip field? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nDuring the week (Monday–Thursday), simply visit the Farm Market and let a staff member know you’d like to enter the tulip field. They will get you set up!\n\n\n\nOn weekends (Friday–Sunday), park in our parking lot and carefully cross Jarmans Gap Road. Follow the tulips to our entry booth, near the red barn.\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n How do I buy tickets? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nYou can purchase Day Passes or Season Passes online or on-site at Chiles Peach Orchard.\n\n\n\nGuests under 3 and over 85 do not need a ticket.\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n Can I get more pick-your-own tulips? Where can I buy tulips ready-picked? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nThere’s plenty of flowers to go around! Beyond the five included in your ticket, additional pick-your-own tulips are available for purchase on-site:\n\n\n\n\n$2/stem\n\n\n\n10 tulips for $15\n\n\n\n25 tulips for $30\n\n\n\n\nThe Farm Market ( https://chilesfamilyorchards.com/chiles-peach-orchard/farm-market-and-bakery/ ) will have ready-picked tulip stems and bouquets available for purchase throughout the season.\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n I’m interested in a tulip field photoshoot. What should I know about photography at the event? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nDuring business hours: There are no official timeslots for photographers. Photographers and their clients should purchase tickets for entry, and are free to take as many photos as they like. Drones are not permitted. \n\n\n\nAfter business hours: If you wish to enter the property before or stay after business hours, you must make an appointment in advance. We will attempt to schedule staff to be on-site. If staff are available, the charge is $150 per hour or any portion thereof, payable in advance. If no staffing can be arranged, we will not be able to grant the appointment.\n\n\n\nThose on our property without permission during non-business hours are trespassing. Due to previous incidents, we do prosecute trespassers.\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n What is the condition of the field? Is the field accessible? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nThe tulip field is a farm field. Depending on the weather, it may be wet and muddy, so we advise guests to dress appropriately. While we’ve worked hard to maintain the grounds, there will be bare spots and unlevel ground. \n\n\n\nPlease remember that the conditions of the field ( #report ) depend on the weather not only during your visit, but on the days leading up to your visit. If it has rained in the days prior to your visit, boots (or maybe Dutch clogs?) are always a good idea.\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n What if it’s a rainy day? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nWeather can be unpredictable, and we know some visitors have their heart set on a cloudless sky. Cloudy days are often ideal for photography, with diffused, even lighting, and what’s a more iconic sign of spring than April showers in a flower field?\n\n\n\nDay Pass holders may manage tickets ( https://chilesfamilyorchards.account.webconnex.com/login ) until 11:59 PM the day before their ticketed date. However, we do not offer refunds due to weather. We encourage visitors to pack umbrellas and boots to enjoy the tulip fields even on rainy days!\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n Can I bring my dog? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nWe regret that we do not permit any pets on the property; please leave your furry friends at home. Only service dogs who are trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability are allowed.\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n How can I keep my tulip bouquet fresh longer? \n \n \n \n	\n	\n	\n \n\nMake the most of your fresh-picked tulips! Simple care tips can keep them lively for longer:\n\n\n\n\nTulips wilt faster when warm. Keep them out of direct sunlight with cool water!\n\n\n\nKeep a small amount of water in the vase. Change their water as frequently as every other day, re-cutting the stems about an inch each time. Cut stems at a 45 degree angle. \n\n\n\nTulips continue to grow after they’re cut! If you’re selecting your own vase, make sure there’s plenty of room.\n\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n\n\n \n \n Visitor Guidelines \n \n We’re glad to welcome you to our family farm. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your visit!\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n Farm to Glass Wine \n \n Raise a glass; we have our own wine! The wine bar at Chiles Peach Orchard serves wine made from our farm-grown grapes. Available by the glass or bottle.\n\n \n\n\n \n
